My name is Matthew McGhee, and I am an honors student at UAB School of Nursing.
This year I have the opportunity and privilege to address an issue that is of increasing importance in our society, childhood obesity. As rates of obesity increase in children, attention to the special needs of these children in the hospital setting must be met. In order to accomplish these goals, care must be multifaceted and based on sound evidence. Through my service learning project I hope to provide information in order to tackle this issue of sound care.
